Jeff Friesen is an international award-winning photographer based on Nova Scotia’s south shore. After growing up on the Manitoba prairies he has spent the last decade living on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. Despite being an avid sailor and kayaker, it took some years before Jeff turned his lens to seascape photography. “I wanted to photograph seascapes in a way that had not been seen before,” says Jeff, who found himself abandoning his usual landscape photography methods for the Beyond Here series.
